Graf began his apprenticeship 13 years ago at a studio in New Zealand called Hammerhead after being tattooed by the owner, Rodrigo Nasa who would assume the role as his first mentor. Under the guidance of the team at Hammerhead, he learned about the wider world of tattooing and began to develop his creative style.

Graf moved to the Gold Coast in 2006 and continued his apprenticeship at a busy street shop and did his first tattoo in 2009. This experience gave him the ability to progress artistically and draw in a wide range of different styles.

He joined the team at Shinko Tattoo in 2017 with the intention of surrounding himself with artists who inspire and motivate him to grow as an artist.

We asked Graf what his goals for the future are and he sent us a link to this video.

You can find Graf on Instagram and throughout the Shinko Tattoo Instagram and Facebook pages.
